Randell Connelly

Deputy Chief Randell Connelly is a dedicated law enforcement professional with a strong background in both military and civilian service. He began his law enforcement career in 2017 with the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, where he served as a Deputy and quickly became recognized for his leadership and professionalism.
In 2023, Deputy Chief Connelly joined the Aquia Harbour Police Department and was promoted to Deputy Chief later that year. In addition to his leadership role, he serves as a Field Training Officer (FTO), General Instructor, and Background Investigator, helping shape the future of the department through officer development and recruitment. He is also trained in internal affairs investigations, further demonstrating his commitment to accountability, transparency, and departmental integrity.
Prior to entering law enforcement, Deputy Chief Connelly served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, deploying multiple times to Iraq in support of combat operations. His military background instilled in him a deep sense of service, resilience, and leadership under pressure qualities that continue to guide his approach to policing.
