Qualifications

Police Officer

Gate Guard / Dispatcher

  • Be at least 21 years of age and a United States citizen
  • Graduation from High School or High School Equivalency
  • Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Conviction of any felony
  • Conviction of any misdemeanor that reflects moral turpitude or a tendency to disregard the law
  • Conviction of DUI related offense within five years of application
  • Conviction of two or more DUIs
  • Any conviction for reckless driving, hit and run, or other serious traffic offense within past 24 months
  • Any Narcotic/Substance Abuse including use of Heroin/Opium or Derivatives (such as Oxycodone/Oxycontin, Hydrocodone, Codeine, Fentanyl, Morphine, or other derivatives not medically prescribed), Methadone, Crack Cocaine, or PCP
  • No marijuana usage within the previous 6 months
  • Experimental usage of any other drug (1-3 times) will be considered on an individual basis
  • Conviction of any drug offense - Marijuana convictions are evaluated on case-by-case basis
  • Be at least 18 years of age and a United States citizen
